Exquisite Backyard Patio | New Remodel in Old Town

My family and I stayed at this house over Christmas through New Year’s weekend. We had 5 adults in our group. The house was clean, spacious, and in a great location. All pictures are accurate and as described. The house is very close to Old Town and a variety of restaurants. There is a pharmacy & grocery store with a Starbucks on the next block which is walkable. The street was quiet at all times of the day & night. There was plenty of room for parking. Two cars can easily fit in the driveway and plenty of parking on the street. I have a few suggestions. First, there is not enough seating in the living room for five people to sit comfortably. The couch comfortably seats two and one chair. The kitchen table only seats 4 people. If the house sleeps 8 people there should be enough comfortable seating for 8 people to sit and watch tv. Second, all bed pillows should be encased in some sort of hypoallergenic enclosure. They only had pillow cases over them and that’s just not sanitary. Third, there is no place to unpack or sit anything on top of besides night stands in the bedrooms. The twin bedroom only has one nightstand to share between two people. Yes, there are closets to hang up clothing but nothing else other than night stands. We had to live out of suitcases on the floor. For a 10 day rental, that’s not ideal. Overall, I would rent again but would hope the owner invests in some better/additional furniture options.

It was okay. It was clean, semi comfortable. Host was okay. Lots of rules and threatening fines. The property was close to where I needed to be and cheaper than the hotels in the area.

Overall the stay was good and met our travel needs for spending time with family for Christmas! We gave it a 1 star for cleanliness due to when we arrived, the place did not looked cleaned. All of the beds had both human hair (head hair and looked to be pubic hair) and animal hair all over them and one of the bed sheets had a dark stain on it. We were totally grossed out. Both bathrooms had hair on the floor, in the shower drain and on the walls. Toilet seats had pee stains even though it had sanitized tape over it. Kitchen Sink had food leftovers in it and we found leftover food on the ground. Pots and pans looked they hadn’t been cleaned in a long while, full of food particles and grease. We contacted the host and they immediately had someone over, which we greatly appreciated and made the stay more enjoyable. The cleaning lady however did seem to be in a rush but did change the sheets and did a quick vacuum. We ended up cleaning the rest ourselves.Even though this place is remodeled, it’s been used and you can tell. Furniture in the living room is stained and could use a good cleaning. The host responses quickly and has excellent communication on check in and check out instructions. This place just missed the mark on cleanliness for us.
